High Performance, No Compromises

  • Wet Insulation. Specially designed for use as wet insulation for subsea flowlines, field joints, and equipment, Proxima HTI has been rigorously qualified for HPHT subsea environments.
  • Thermal Conductivity. The thermosetting cross-linked hydrocarbon does not melt or degrade in superheated water and provides a robust thermal barrier between high temperature flowlines and cold seawater.

Proxima HTI Syntactic Foam for Subsea Thermal Insulation

Proxima HTI syntactic foams deliver a superior alternative for projects up to 325°F for deepwater fields requiring excellent thermal protection. Incorporating hollow glass microspheres in the casting process with Materia’s HTI Proxima resin generates a thermal insulation material with state-of-the-art thermal and mechanical properties. With the low thermal conductivity (as low as 0.11 W/mK) of our materials, our customers can eliminate up to one-third of the insulation thickness.
